Posen Citizens Academic Council (PCAC) is an organization dedicated to helping all Posen Students achieve academically and develop the confidence, determination, and skills needed to thrive in today's world.
Our Focus: To raise money to purchase up-to-date textbooks, educational materials, and work with faculty and administration to help our children receive the education they deserve.
How it came about: The MEAP testing had changed its Core Standards and for the first time in a long time, Posen students have shown a slide in their test scores. The state changed and cut the school budget and there was no money to buy books. And, the federal government has changed its focus from funding education. Our Posen children deserve educational materials that are younger than they are, that have correct information, that have information that will prepare them for MEAP success, and books that are not being held together with duct tape. We want to regain pride in our educational programs at school. Our children are the future. We want to leave our old books in the past.
